when i woke up i put on my warm pullover as i thought: "well, it isn't quite as warm as they predicted." i had all the shutters down and the sky looked cloudy through the little slits. but when i opened the french window to the garden i gasped. it was HOT. the first thing i did was rip the pullover off, the second was to congratulate myself for thinking of the shutters the night before. it looks like the temperatures are going to be extremely hot in the next days, just when school starts again. hottest day: monday, when i am in till half past three. yay. ^^' |

there is some heavy wind going on outside and it reminds me of the coast, the sea. i sometimes wish i lived near the sea, i think that would be really lovely. i like the wind and the smell of salt water. but the older i get the more i believe that you have the place you come from ingrained in you. or maybe the place you grew up at. i know, some people manage to move to somewhere completely different, but i think you always have this one place that is home, whether you like it or not. i mean, i might wish to live somewhere more hip than munich, but when i came back from london for instance i realised how much i am used to cute little munich.
then again, i might just be boring and overly settled. :P |

| space and such |

i watched a tv programme about the apollo moon missions and inevitably got caught up in my fascination with all things to do with space travel again. don't get me wrong here, i am scared as hell of any flying vehicle (and those firmly on the ground but not steered by me as well), although i still fly. however, the idea of exploring space and other planets as well as astronomy and astrophysics has been fascinating me for ages. i am glad i got that back in my life.
while i was watching footage of the moon landings i naturally came across peoples' attempts to prove it was all a big hoax. i realised that i didn't really care. and honestly, there are some things i don't understand about this hoax theory: if the moon landings were fake, why repeat the hoax up to apollo 17? why bother with staging it on tv at all? one astronaut, whose name i forgot, said, upon being asked what he thought of all the conspiracy theories: "i am just waiting for them to send someone else up there. then they will find all the stuff we left there and then the world will hopefully know." yeah, but there will still be people who will think this new mission is a hoax, too...^^'
i am not a big believer in anything, but i think i like to believe that it all was true and happened exactly the way it was portrayed. to deal with things like space and the coming into existence of our planet and universe makes me feel less attached to the mundane things and more...aloof, as if i was on a meta level, happily distanced from all that could bother me. i think you call it the "ivory tower" of science. |

just noticed the series "skins" again. i guess i wouldn't like it if i watched it, but wow, the "about a boy" guy nicolas hoult really grew into a fine (albeit in a slightly odd way) looking man. and then there is ( mitch hewer... )

i definitely should eat less. i mean, it is not (yet) unhealthy, but i simply eat because i am so tired. and i am so tired because...erm...no idea. probably a combination of many things. last night i lay in bed and dreamed of food. i fancied going to the indian restaurant so much i almost munched my cover. :/ |
